Tracy Turnblad, a young teenage girl from
Balitmore, has her dreams come true when she makes it onto the hit television show
, the Corny Collins Show. However, this angers the show's producer Velma Von Tussle and her daughter Amber Von Tussle. The three struggle as Tracy begins to move the Corny Collins Show towards integration and eqaulity.
Pre-rovlutionary Russia in the largly Jewish community of Anatevka Ucraine, residents are ruled by community and cultural traditions.
For poor farmer Tevye and his wife Goldy, the tradition entails that they ask the town Matchmaker to find wealthy husbands for their three dauhters : Tzeitel, Hodel, Chava.
Tzeitel, not yet 20, doesn't like Yente, the matchmaker, becuase she only chooses old men. Tzeitel is in love with poor taylor Motel but her father doesn't accept him due to him being poor. Tezitel goes on to marry Motel anyways, starting a trend in the community of defying tradition.
Into The Woods follows Fiarytale characters as the learn to be careful for what they wish for.
Each journey brings them into the woods, where they are tempted to harm others, in order to get what they want.
And while eveyone seems to have gotten their wish, their actions catch up to them and they pay their consequences.
